APPLICATION PROCESS

What are you applying for?

To assign ISRCs as a Rights Holder, you need a Registrant prefix, which is the portion of an ISRC that will be unique to you. This prefix will allow you to assign up to 100,000 ISRCs per year to recordings that you own and is yours for life. You must assign your ISRCs in accordance with the specifications set forth in the ISRC Handbook.

Create a Rights Holder Account

We will ask you to register a few pieces of information with us. Once you have completed your account registration, you will receive a confirmation email with an invitation to purchase a prefix ($95). For more information on the cost to purchase a prefix, please see the Guidance & Support page.

Complete Registration and Purchase a Prefix

Once your email address is confirmed you will be able to purchase your prefix, create, and store your ISRCs with the associated music/recording metadata on your account dashboard.
